No meeting on April 13th however to prevent FOMR, Fear of Missing Rotary, consider volunteering for the Pawsitivity Partnership on April 18th that benefits LifeLine Animal Project held at Open Hand.
We will be back at Maggiano’s for our April 20th meeting with our speaker Katherine Kelley, CEO Buckhead Coalition.
Several Buckhead Rotarians volunteered at the LifeLine Healthy Pet Event last weekend. We enjoyed meeting some really cute animals while we helped pet owners fill in their paperwork at the check-in line. This event is central to the mission of LifeLine, which is to keep pets healthy and with their owners, preventing unnecessary shelter surrenders due to financial constraints.
A total of 1,251 animals were served!
Click on the Fox 5 link for additional information on how this event benefits our fury friends and their people. https://www.fox5atlanta.com/video/fmc-odhpt0uvvm…
Thank you to Kari Kirkley, Bill Gentner, Kathy Finn, Michael Stimpert, Alec Smythe, and Joe Hammell for their assistance at this event.
This Saturday is the Buckhead Rotary Foundation Benefit Night of Champions. Even if you are not attending, you can still bid on items in the silent auction. Proceeds help to fund the three signature projects; LifeLine Animal Project, The Shepherd Center and The Boyce Ansley School, plus other projects including international scholarships for students, Scouting America, Girl Scouts, and our international projects including eradicating Polio and combating human trafficking.
Anyone can bid on silent auction items like:
Last call for Buckhead Rotary branded polo shirts. They are $43.52. Order one for you and your significant other. These high-quality shirts can be worn to our volunteer events or anywhere around town to proudly display your status as a Buckhead Rotarian.
April 13th is the last day to order; don’t wait to the last minute, order today. Act now:

Volunteer for the next Pawsitivity Partnership to benefit LifeLine on Saturday April 18th at Open Hand. We meet at 10 am for coffee and freshly baked bread and then set off on our individual routes. Bring your family, significant other, friends and coworkers to make a lasting paw print, er impact in the community.

The Sandwich Project is dedicated to addressing food insecurity in the metro Atlanta area. We will gather to demonstrate the transformative power of community, compassion, and kindness as we make fresh, homemade sandwiches that will later be delivered to individuals in need. This fun yet important event is being held in the evening at the Atlanta International School’s Pavilion and will replace our regular scheduled meeting. You must sign up so we know how many people to expect for dinner. Please go to the calendar and click “will attend” and the “guest” button if you are bringing additional people.
